Beef Trachea & Esophagi (pet food only) -- 5 lb.

The USDA inspectors have agreed to make some parts of the cow that used to go to the landfill available as healthy pet food. All pet food items are USDA-inspected for health.

Esophagus and trachea are chewy, carillagenous tubes with meaty ends, very little fat. The photo does not do justice to these large, meaty parts. These are organ meats that can replace more expensive organ meats in large dogs' diets.

In searching for photographs of trachea and esophagi, I discovered that Indian groceries sell fresh T & E, which are used in Indian cuisine. And I discovered that these parts are often dried for pet chews, and ground up in commercial raw pet foods.
